The attraction for art

With distant family ties with maestro Cano, my sensitivity for art only began to manifest itself during my frequent trips around the world thanks to my work at Coltejer as a member of the export team, the attraction for art, the admiration for painters Those who contemplated for hours with envy buying some of his works, went further than that.

About 4 years ago I began to organize my life for my retirement where reading, golf and painting would be my main activities. Fortunately near my house he discovered the workshop of master Mario Ortega who painstakingly began to raise the curtain on the wonderful world of paintings with which I felt identified from the first day I took a brush and stained my first canvas with the noble and surprising oil.

After a year the master Ortega traveled to the United States, due to fortunate circumstances I quickly met the master Juan Guillermo Ríos who for more than two years introduced me to the knowledge of brush and spatula painting, for reasons of work and care of His father could not continue as my teacher, in his replacement he introduced me more than a year ago to the teacher Alfredo Gómez, perhaps the best espatulista in Antioquia.

During these four years I have painted 85 works with a brush and a spatula, ranging from portraits, to seascapes, landscapes, still lifes, flowers, animals, in general subjects that have to do with nature.
